[wzslider autoplay=”true”] On this day 19 years ago, the Irish band U2, led by Bono Vox, held a concert at the Olympic stadium Kosevo. The song Miss Sarajevo was performed on this concert, where Pavarotti’s voice was reproduced from an old gramophone.
Bono lost his voice at one point, and after the audience noticed it, followed an amazing applause of support. Larry Mullen said later that the concert was worth all 20 years of his performances, and that he would work for another 20 for such a concert. Bono said that such a thing never happened to him before, and that he would probably be booed in similar situations with visibly damaged voice, and not rewarded with fanatical applause.
Bono Vox has a passport of BiH and he is a proven friend of our country who was drawing world public attention on the war in BiH. The Republic of Ireland has recognized the independence of the Republic of BiH on the 7th of April 1992 at the very beginning of the bloody aggression against our country.
