The Director of the Mostar Fair Dalfina Bošnjak said that at this year’s international international economic fair “Mostar-2013”, which will be held from 9-13 April, around 800 exhibitors from 35 countries are expected.
The EU is a partner of the fair this year, and all 27 EU member states will be presented at the Mostar fair.
“All countries in the region will be present, followed by Turkey, Taiwan, etc. The fair will be a first-rate economic and political event in the region. The arrival of four presidents from the region- Ivica Dačić of Serbia, Zoran Milanović of Croatia, Milo Đukanović of Montenegro and the Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers Vjekoslav Bevanda will attend the opening ceremony.
She said that she is honored that the Head of the EU Delegation and Special Representative of the EU to BiH Peter Sorensen will open the 16th international economic fair.
“The Mostar fair on 11 April will be visited by the European Commissioner for Enlargement Štefan Fule and accompanied by BiH political leaders. We hope that all these events at the Mostar fair will contribute to our country’s transition to the EU’’, said Bošnjak.
She stressed that the conference and educational part of the fair will be dedicated to the “European” issue.
“Two large conferences are planned on the topic of using available IPA funds of the EU and cross-border cooperation, while the other would be “Implications of Croatian Accession to the EU on BiH”, related to the adjustments of the market and goods from Croatia and BiH after Croatia’s accession to the EU on 1 July’’, added Bošnjak.
Bošnjak stressed that the issue of the continuation of successful economic cooperation of Croatia and BiH is of great importance for both countries, and on how to prevent negative repercussions of Croatia’s accession to the EU on the economy of both countries will be topics of discussion at the Mostar fair.
“Otherwise, Croatia is a partner to this year’s tourism fair. With all these, we are organizing a series of roundtables, and at one of them there will be a discussion on the participation of women in the business world’’, said Bošnjak.
