Deksalgin 5K Spring Run, a spring race on 5 kilometers, was held in the center of Sarajevo, and more than 600 people took part in this race.
This race is special because it promotes the social responsibility of our runners, who paid the registration fee and all the money will be donated to children with the autistic spectrum. Therefore, the Association Marathon and the Association EDUS are standing behind it. To recall, more than 15,000 BAM was collected within this campaign in the year of 2017.
This year’s race was organized under the slogan “I’m running for Someone with Autism”, and the main goal is to help in the education of more than 100 children with autism who are waiting to get their place in the education program EDUS.
“We are so proud of this great response and the fact that 600 runners decided to join such a beautiful and socially responsible event. The number of runners in Sarajevo and all over BiH was significantly increased thanks to decades of our work and active engagement in the community, and we are happy to be able to introduce positive changes in our society. It is our honour to work with such a great company like Nobel Ilac, because there were more than 100 participants from their company,” said Erol Mujanovic.
The start of the race was in front of the BBI Center, and the race was continued through Titova Street, Marijin Dvor, Obala Kulina bana, City Hall, Sebilj, Eternal Fire and the finish line was again in front of the BBI Center.
The first place went to Edin Osmanagic with a time 14:22, Uros Gutic with a time of 14:38 won the second place, while the third place went to Zaim Suman with the time 14:52.
