The 1st Startup weekend in Mostar, organized by the INTERA Tehnološki Park, was open two days ago.
The Norvegian ambassador to B&H, Anne Vibeke Lilloe greeted all those who attended the event. She supported this initiative and the pointed out that it is very important to stimulate the young population so they can find employments which is an important factor for the development of the B&H economy.
This Startup Weekend, focused on IT technologies, lasted two days during which the participants had the chance to talk to mentors, local and foreign entrepreneurs and to elaborate their business ideas.
On the last day the participants presented their ideas to the members of the jury composed out of local and foreign entrepreneurs.
Among nine teams competing, there were also participants from Ukraine, Spain, Russia, USA and Italy so it was really an international gathering.
The Startup Weekend which was so far organized in more than 30 countries and over 750 cities across the world, was this year organized in Mostar for the first time and supported by the Norwegian Ministry of foreign affairs and by the local sponsors Nsoft, Unicredit Bank and MojTaxi.
