The Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Zoran Tegeltija, said on Monday that the Council of Ministers had unlocked the process of appointing managers at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina and that this was continuing, emphasizing that the time had come for someone from the Serb people to take the chair of the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA).
Tegeltija added that there must be no new blockades and that, for the good work of the institutions, they must get the heads of the institutions on time, Srna news agency reports.
“The process of appointing heads of institutions at the level of BiH is extremely important for their work. Certain appointments ended more than a month ago in the institutions of the Council of Ministers, and these were important appointments where competition procedures were completed and it was important to show that we can reach an agreement respecting the competition procedure when it comes to the selection of staff, “Tegeltija told Glas Srpske.
He says that he is sure that, after several months of interruptions in the normal functioning of institutions, the work of institutions will be improved from the point of view of management.
“Perhaps the most important message is that, as the mandates of certain leaders stand out, we will elect their successors in time or renew the mandates of some,” he pointed out.
According to him, the ITA BiH is an important institution and it is understandable that there is interest in who will manage it in the next period. “I don’t know why the story is set between Bosniaks and Croats. You should know that Serbs have never been at the head of the administration. For two terms, the director was from the ranks of Bosniaks, two from the ranks of Croats, and I think it was the turn of the Serb people.
“It was agreed when the administration was formed that the directors would change according to the national key. From the point of view of the Republika Srpska, the time has come for a director from the Serbian people to head the Indirect Taxation Administration,” Tegeltija said.
