The presidents of the SDA and HDZ BiH, Bakir Izetbegovic and Dragan Covic, signed two agreements on Wednesday in Mostar, which will enable the holding of elections in this city after 12 years.
As they explained after the meeting, which was also attended by representatives of the international community, one agreement refers to the elections in Mostar, and the other two parties undertake to open negotiations on changes to the Election Law related to the election of members of the Presidency and filling the House of Peoples, Avaz news portal reports.
After the meeting, Covic said that the preconditions were provided for the local elections in Mostar to be held at the same time as in the rest of BiH.
Izetbegovic added that the agreement ensures that no one manages Mostar independently. BiH Presidency Member and DF leader Zeljko Komsic briefly commented on the agreement.
“As far as I can see, SDA and HDZ have agreed to try to deceive each other,” Komsic said briefly.
