By intonation of the hymns of Bosnia and Herzegovina and France at the residence of French Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Guillaume Rousson, the 14th National Holiday of France – The Fall of Bastille and the beginning of the French Revolution was celebrated on Friday evening, News Agency Patria reports.
The Ambassador in addressing the guests at a solemn reception said that unlike last year, the interest of France for the Balkans has been concretized, as confirmed by the Berlin Summit on April 29th, devoted to the Balkans, chaired by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron.
“Summit has offered the first French strategy for the Western Balkans, within this framework, France will strengthen its political relations with the region and develop cooperation in four major areas – greater economic development in the field of security in the fight against smuggling of light weapons and small-caliber weapons, of justice, EU4justice program run by France since the beginning of the year, in the field of defense, we highlight France’s return to EUFOR in the fall of 2018. The goal of the strategy is to supplement and support EU activities to move closer to the region of Europe,” Ruousson said.
He pointed out that the map of the road is clear and demanding for BiH, as is evident from the EU Opinions.
“In this respect, BiH’s activities will be of particular importance in the coming months.”
