Bjelasnica Mountain, located some 35 kilometers southwest from Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH) capital Sarajevo is the only mountain in the Balkans currently covered by snow.
The height of snow recorded on Bjelasnica Mountain on Saturday was 18 centimeters.
This is certainly not enough for skiing, but visitors to Bjelasnica can enjoy the view on the “white blanket” in these spring days.
According to the Federal Hydrometeorological Service, the temperature recorded on Saturday evening was 6 Degrees Celsius.
The official information states that there is no snow on the mountains in Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro.
