Each of the 55 member states of UEFA will get the payment in the amount of one million euros from the European football federation, said its president Aleksander Čeferin at a one-day congress of UEFA in Helsinki.
Čeferin explained that such a payment is possible due to the “excellent financial results of representations”.
“The role of UEFA is not to accumulate wealth, but to help its members and supports the development of football,” said Čeferin.
Season 2015/2016 ended with 102.1 million euros of profit, which includes the European Championships in France making its reserves to climb to 633 million euros.
Moreover, Čeferin also said that he will not allow the closer of Super League, saying that “money has no power.”
He warned the biggest leagues of Europe that UEFA has no intention to give up upon blackmails, promising redesign of the football on the Old Continent in the next five years.
