Youth from Sarajevo, Gradiska, Tuzla, Mostar, Bihac, Lukavac and other cities showed that if they were given a real opportunity, they would grab it.
This time, all participants had a chance to win cash prizes in amount of 600, 400 and 200 BAM, study scholarships, but also cash prizes for mentors who dedicated a part of their time to counseling for the development of scientific projects.
The aim of this year’s fair was to encourage young people to think about problems in their micro environment – and by using available resources to offer ideas and solutions from their own perspective.
All projects answered that aim, and members of the expert jury, who had a very difficult job of evaluation, said that they are positively surprised with the knowledge and enthusiasm of high school students.
Mentors from the Electro Technical high school from Tuzla emphasized that the Olympics offer unique experiences to students, because it encourages them to work additionaly, at classes but also during holidays.
In this way, they acquire new skills, explore, meet their colleagues and on that way gain even bigger motivation.
Financial awards are stimulating them additionally, as well as scholarships that could contribute to their further personal development.
The organizer, the International Burch University, thanked all participants and sponsors of this year’s Burch Olympics project.
